This is amazing! I just read this online article about F1. The link: http://www.espnstar.com/motorsport/f1/news/detail/item232707/Brawn-GP-take-honours-in-Australia/
Jenson Button clinched his first pole position for three years on a day of disaster for Lewis Hamilton. This is the first time in 38 races neither a Ferrari of McLaren is on the front row, underlining the major impact of the new regulations.
The first ten drivers are:
1. Jenson Button 1:26.202
2. Rubens Barrichello 1:26.505
3. Sebastien Vettel 1:26.830
4. Robert Kubica 1:26.914
5. Nico Rosberg 1:26.973
6. Timo Glock 1:26.975
7. Felipe Massa 1:27.033
8. Jarno Trulli 1:27.127
9. Kimi Raikkonnen 1:27.163
10. Mark Webber 1:27.246
Wow! Amazing!

Newspaper Article
Today, I will be talking about a newspaper article I read today. The topic is abusing of maids. This is an event-driven story. I chose this article as I think many people are bullying and abusing people and I want to tell everyone about the seriousness of this.
The article can be found in the Home section of today's newspaper. The page is B4. It is actually about a mother-daughter pair abusing maid. When I first read this article, I was indeed appalled to see that some Singaporeans still abuse maids. I could not believe that they could actually abuse her till she escaped.
They admitted grabbing the maid's hair, slapping and hitting her and stamping on the maid's leg. This led to the maid escaping from the fifth-floor flat and found refuge at a mosque.
I personally feel that the pair was a bit over the board. We hire maids to help do housework, not abuse them. If you were the person being abused, how would you feel? Probably you would think that fighting back is an option. However, if you were the only one in Singapore as you wanted to earn money and send some back to support your family, you are most probably vulnerable. I nearly forgot, you are most probably a boy so you would not become a maid. However, just put yourself into their shoes.
Please leave your valuable comments.

Poll
As you can see, I made a poll about F1. I thought it would be a good time to make a poll about this as F1 will be starting soon. Actually it had already started yesterday. Yesterday was practice. Today will be the qualifying and tomorrow will be the actual race.
In my own opinion, I think that Ferrari is the best team and I might consider making a poll about which is your favourite team. I think Kimi Raikkonen is the best driver in Ferrari although Felipe Massa is equally good.
Feel free to vote.
Ferrari fan wishes everyone a good weekend.

Mom Song
Hi! This is the song Mr Tan showed us a few weeks ago.
I would also like to take the chance to start a mini discussion about this song.
The question is "Why are mothers more loving than fathers?"
Please leave your comments. Enjoy.

Newspaper Article
Did you know that nearly 7/10 peddestrians killed were jaywalkers?
I chose this article as I wanted to tell everyone the penalties of jaywalking and also suggestions on how to prevent people from jaywalking.
I will be sharing with you what I read on the newspaper. It is an event-driven story and you can find it in the Home section. The date is March 23, Monday, page B5.
I will start with a short introduction about jaywalking. A jaywalker is a pesdestrian who is within 50m of a pedestrian crossing but fails to use it to get across a road.
People often jaywalk as they want to save time. However, they do not know the consequences. First, let me tell you more about jaywalking. The top three hot spots for jaywalking are Jalan Eunos, Upper Dickson Road and Tampines Central 1. I was actually surprised that Orchard Road was not one of them. However, let me elaborate on Jalan Eunos first.
30 people were seen jaywalking within the space of five minutes, despite the heavy and fast-moving traffic.
Upper Dickson Road is actually situated in Little India and jaywalking is a common sight there. Pedestrians totally ignore oncoming cars. Therefore, motorists often have to brake or swerve to avoid hitting somone.
Tampines Central 1. Over a five-minute stretch, 23 people were spotted jaywalking at this section of the road outside the bus interchange - when the pedestrian crossing was less than 30 steps away.
Personally, I feel that people should not jaywalk as they are risking their lives.
I do have a few suggestions. They are:
Construct more pedestrian crossings,
some traffic police near hot spots and
giving talks to educate people on the benefits of not jaywalking.
What do you think? Please give your comments.
Now I will touching on the acts and penalties of jaywalking.
Failure to use overhead bridges, underpasses and disobeying traffic light signals.
Failure to yield right-of-way to vehicles.
Climbing over railings to get across the road.
They may be given $20 on-the-spot fines;if their case goes to court, they may be fined up to $1000 or jailed up to three months if found guilty.
Imagine paying $1000 just for crossing a road.
I hope you now have a better understanding of jaywalking.
Please leave your valuable comments if any.

Hi, the previous post was just for fun. Try clicking the link if you want to.
Today I will be talking about what happened in school today. Started off with the consortiom assembly. Followed by Maths and reccess. After that, it was Language Arts.
We presented our pie chart. Good job to those who presented. It was certainly a good effort. Time flew quickly and soon it was Chinese. We "chanted" the "di zi gui" which consisted of Chinese characters. Some people created some other ways to say the "di zi gui".
Then, it was Science. At first, we were given a test paper but it was our term 1 test paper. Many people were very elated and knew that they could high marks for it.
However, the relief teacher took back those papers and got the last year's test paper. In the meantime, we started doing our weekend assignments.
All in all, I had a wonderful day.
M.U fan wishes everyone a good weekend.

Blog Prompt (Term 2 Week 1)
Today I will sharing with you all about which is a better formula for success. The two formulas are keeping up and staying relevant or taking risks and striking out into new frontiers. In my opinion, i think that there are pros and cons to both formulas.
Let me elaborate on the first formula--keeping up and staying relevant.
To keep up and stay relevant, people have to stick to a limited set of products in a narrow market domain. Their success will come from competitive pricing and high quality products. They do not spend too much on new product development. They should focus on their core products and their strength and serve their existing customers well.
Now let me elaborate on the second formula--taking risks and striking out into new frontier.
In order to strike out into new frontiers, people have to continuously expand the market domain and have the capability to consistently innovate and develop new product and exploit new market opportunities. They must constantly monitoring and making surveillance of market trends and environmental conditions. Of course there is higher risk as compared to the first formula. However, this gives them the competitive advantage of being first mover advantage over their competitors.
All in all, I believe it would be better to operate in a two product-market domain, a stable one and a relatively turbulent one.
Please leave your comments if you have any.

Hi
Hi, not been posting because I was busy with my CCA. As most of you know, I am in squash. A few days ago, we celebrated our school's 90th anniversary. There was a talk and later we watched a video. Now I know more about my school's history.
Today was a tiring day for me. Wow! Squash was quite tough today. Had to run 10 sets of 10 laps within 30 seconds. After each set we were given a 30 second break. However, it was still exhausting. After squash ended, I went home. I was feeling tired and a bit sick. The squash training made me vomit a few times. 37.7 was what it read when I looked at my thermometer. Now, I feel much better.
All in all, today's lessons were quite interesting.

I realised that time flew quickly and soon it was the end of the period. Next was English lesson. We recapped about what we did last term. Finally, it was Maths. Learnt new stuff and then we got our Maths results. The result was great.
